ABOUT KATE
Kate Maier DipArom MIFPA
Aromatherapist and Massage Therapist
I qualified as an aromatherapist in 2006, having studied at the IFPA accredited S.E.E.D Institute in Surrey. I am a member of the IFPA (International Federation of Aromatherapists) which means I adhere to strict safety standards and professional conduct guidelines, recognised by health insurance providers. I supplement my training with continued professional development by way of research, conferences and courses. My focus as a therapist is to integrate aromatherapy with other treatments such as deep tissue massage and myofascial release therapy, or lymphatic drainage or hot stones therapy. I'm passionate about working on a deeper level with the body in order to achieve your treatment goals. Whether it is to manage stress, reduce muscular pain and tension, prepare for a sports event, or aid a smooth pregnancy, or simply to enjoy some pampering, combining aromatherapy with other practices can have surprisingly positive results.
Health and wellbeing of mind and body means a lot to me personally as it enables me to do what makes my heart soar - adventures in nature - whether it's a dog walk or run in our beautiful local countryside, mountains treks, or husky mushing and wild camping in the Arctic. And not least, being fit enough to keep up with the grandchildren. One can't underestimate the value of putting one's health first.
"Wonderful massage from Kate. I felt very stiff and achey before the massage and she truly worked wonders! Thank you so much Kate." - Elaine
